Stade is a platform dedicated to exploring sport through the lens of culture, aesthetics, and design. It is a space where competition is not just measured in speed or skill but in form, materiality, and storytelling.
Sport has always been more than a game—it is a crafted experience, a cultural marker, a visual language. Stade curates and examines this language, tracing the evolution of sporting goods, the architectural presence of stadiums, the artistry of movement, and the interplay between sport and fashion. From historical imagery to contemporary reinterpretations, it challenges conventional perspectives, positioning sport as a living, evolving artifact of culture.
By bridging sport, design, and identity, Stade moves beyond analysis into curation, reimagining sport as something to be felt, worn, collected, and understood.

Miguel Coelho | Founder & Creative Director, Stade
I’ve always moved between different worlds—art, sport, photography, and design—and my work sits at the intersection of all of them. My background spans fine arts, architecture, and high-performance coaching, but at its core, my approach is about understanding sport not just as competition, but as an experience that’s designed, shaped, and deeply embedded in culture.
I’m fascinated by the visual and tactile language of sport—the craftsmanship of equipment, the evolution of performance apparel, the way an arena shapes energy, the way movement itself can tell a story. Over the years, I’ve worked with elite athletes, consulted on sports infrastructure, and studied how sport influences and is influenced by fashion, art, and space.
With Stade, I’m bringing all of these ideas together. This isn’t just about watching or playing the game—it’s about seeing sport through a different lens. It’s about design and competition, history and innovation, materiality and motion, all in constant dialogue.
